For those athletes that wish to be in a position to play collegiate sports there is no perfect recruitment process. Your coaches and schools will play a role but the reality is you and your families need to take the lead. Here is a checklist of potential things you could do with your recruitment based on grade.
Freshmen (9th Grade)
Meet Counselor
Become familiar with core course requirements and be sure you are on the correct path.
Find your high school’s list of NCAA core courses, figure out which classes you can take this year and make sure you have a plan to maintain your NCAA eligibility.
Let your high school and/or club coach know you’re interested in competing at the college level.
Build list of potential colleges

Submit recruiting questionnaire to those colleges
Keep a 3.0 GPA
Clean up social media
Start volunteer hours

Junior (11th Grade)
Take your SAT/ACT
Request the test scores be sent to the NCAA Eligibility Center by marking “9999” in the code box where indicated.
